Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s hidden gems. The park is famous for its large herds of elephants, towering baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which provides a vital water source for wildlife throughout the year. As you enter the park, you’ll be greeted by a diverse range of animals, including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and impalas.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, taking in its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife. After an early breakfast, enjoy your last Serengeti game drive before driving to the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area, one of Africa’s most beautiful wildlife destinations. Along the way, the scenery changes from golden plains to lush green highlands with stunning views. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, called the Eighth Wonder of the World, is home to amazing wildlife and breathtaking landscapes.
Upon arrival, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest volcanic caldera, home to over 25,000 animals. Spot the Big Five — lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and the rare black rhino. Your experienced guide will share interesting facts about the animals, the Maasai people, and the Crater’s history.

This morning is the final day of your Tanzanian safari. After breakfast at your lodge or camp near Ngorongoro or Karatu, you’ll drive back to Arusha, enjoying scenic views of the highlands, villages, and open plains along the way.

You can optionally visit a Maasai village (extra cost) to learn about their culture, traditions, and famous jumping dance. On the drive, stop at local markets in towns like Mto wa Mbu and Makuyuni for souvenir shopping, including handmade jewelry, fabrics, wooden carvings, coffee, and artwork — perfect keepsakes that also support local families.
