Upon entering the park, begin your first game drive en route to your lodge or camp. Tsavo West is known for its striking terrain: rolling volcanic hills, lava flows, acacia woodlands, and natural springs that attract a wide range of wildlife.
Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Highlights may include sightings of red-dust elephants, lions, hippos, crocodiles, and elusive leopards. A visit to the famous Mzima Springs offers a chance to view hippos and fish in crystal-clear waters from an underwater viewing chamber.
