For wildlife lovers, this is paradise. The Serengeti is home to an estimated 3,000 lions, inspiring the famous characters of The Lion King: Simba, Nala, Mufasa, and even Scar. Lions are often easy to spot here, not only due to their large numbers but also because they spend much of the day roaming or resting under acacia trees, sometimes for up to 20 hours a day.
Along with lions, the Serengeti hosts elephants, Cape buffaloes, and a remarkable array of birdlife, including species like the Kori bustard and Fischer’s lovebird.
As evening approaches, you’ll return to your camp inside the park to unwind, enjoy dinner, and relax under the starry sky. Rest well, the natural wonder of Ngorongoro Crater awaits you tomorrow.
