Dar es Salaam to Mikumi NP - via Morogoro by Electric Train

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel at 5:30 am and drive you to the SGR station for your train to the Morogoro region, which departs at 06:00 am and arrives in Morogoro at 7:50 am. Upon arrival, you will meet our driver-guide, who will drive you to the restaurant for breakfast. Then, you will drive to Mikumi National Park for a game drive until lunchtime. After lunch, you will have a short rest, then you will go out again for a game drive until sunset.

Mikumi NP to Ruaha NP for Afternoon Game Drive

You'll wake up for an early morning game drive until 8:00 am, then drive back to the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast, you'll start the journey to Ruaha National Park with a stopover in Iringa Town for a hot lunch.

You'll arrive for afternoon game drives until sunset in the park, looking for hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, reedbucks, and buffalos venture to the river’s edge to drink, attracting the attention of lions, leopards, hyenas, wild dogs, and jackals. There are many birds in the park, including Eurasian migrants that come to visit the park twice a year.
Late afternoon, you will drive to the Banda for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive in Ruaha National Park

You will wake up for an early morning game drive, which will take about two hours, then drive back to the cottage for breakfast. After breakfast, you will proceed with a full-day game drive to explore the beauty of the park, which is full of rocky kopjes and ancient baobab trees. Late evening, you will drive back to the bandas for dinner and an overnight stay.

A fine network of game-viewing roads follows the Great Ruaha River and its seasonal tributaries, where, during the dry season, impalas, waterbucks, and other antelopes risk their life for a sip of life-sustaining water. The risk is considerable not only from the pride of the 10-plus lions that lord over the savannah but also from the cheetahs that stalk the open grassland.

Today, you will have another full day game drive in Ruaha NP you will have the option of starting with an early morning game drive, followed by a game drive after breakfast until lunch time. After lunch, you will proceed with a game drive en-route on the way to the exit gate around 4:00 pm.

Today, you will shift to Ruaha Hilltop Lodge, a midrange accommodation located outside the park with beautifully view from the hill.

Ruaha NP to Morogoro for Electric Train to Dar es Salaam

Today, you will have an early breakfast at 6:30 am. At 7:00 am, you will drive to Morogoro town to catch a train to Dar es Salaam, which departs at 4:00 pm and arrives around 05:50 pm.

On arrival in Dar es Salaam, you will meet our driver who will transfer you to your hotel or airport for your night flight.
