Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your Millennia Safaris guide will pick you up and drive you to Tarangire National Park, about 2.5 hours from Arusha. Named after the Tarangire River, the park attracts huge numbers of animals during the dry season. It is famous for its large elephant herds, as well as giraffes, zebras, bushbucks, hartebeests, and predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire is also a bird lover’s paradise with over 500 bird species. The scenery is beautifully dotted with ancient baobab trees. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your game drive. Later, you will head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Walking Safari & Game Drive in Lake Manyara NP

After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet incredibly scenic park set beneath the dramatic cliffs of the Great Rift Valley. The shallow alkaline lake is a haven for birdlife, drawing thousands of flamingos and over 500 bird species throughout the year. As you explore, you’ll pass through lush forests where baboons are commonly seen and may encounter elephants up close. Keep a lookout for the park’s famous tree-climbing lions, a rare and unforgettable sight.

Along with a thrilling game drive, you’ll also enjoy a guided walking safari, giving you a unique chance to experience the bush from ground level, spotting wildlife tracks, discovering smaller creatures, and appreciating the natural beauty up close.

After breakfast, you travel into the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at a scenic viewpoint to admire the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. You then continue across the conservation area toward the southern plains of Serengeti National Park.

After breakfast, you’ll depart the Serengeti and head toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater. As you approach, the crater unfolds like a hidden treasure, an ancient volcanic caldera teeming with life, surrounded by lush, towering walls. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features golden savannahs, serene lakes, and acacia-studded woodlands, formed by a massive eruption millions of years ago.

Descending into the crater feels like stepping into a wildlife documentary. On the crater floor, you’ll encounter an incredible variety of animals: wildebeest and zebra herds grazing freely, agile gazelles dashing across the plains, and over 500 bird species filling the air with song. With some luck, the elusive black rhino may appear among the grasses.
