Arrive at Windhoek International Airport, collect your rental vehicle, and head to Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch, where you’ll spend two nights. The 3 hour journey from Windhoek to Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch takes you south on a tar road through Rehoboth and Kalkrand. The landscape transitions from rocky hills to expansive savannahs before turning onto a gravel road that winds through rolling red Kalahari dunes, eventually arriving at the ranch’s secluded desert setting. As you journey along, keep an eye out for wildlife like oryx, springbok, and ostrich before reaching your lodge. After check-in, immerse yourself in the tranquil desert ambiance. The evening promises a breathtaking sunset over the dunes, followed by a delightful dinner at the lodge under Namibia’s mesmerizing starry sky.

Day 2

Breakfast is served at the lodge before you depart on a guided morning walk with the indigenous San people. Visit their demonstrational village and learn about ancient traditions, survival skills, and the wisdom passed down through generations. Discover how they gather water in ostrich eggs, set traps, use desert plants for medicine, and craft ostrich-shell jewelry—an engaging cultural experience that brings the past to life.
Return to the lodge, where an optional lunch can be booked.
In the afternoon, enjoy the excitement of the cheetah excursion as you get close to these powerful, graceful cats. Capture memorable photos and hear their stories from expert guides while visiting the cheetahs cared for in Bagatelle’s conservation enclosure. End the day with a sundowner on one of the highest dunes, taking in sweeping desert views, Namibian snacks, and the peaceful silence of the Kalahari.

After breakfast make your way to Desert Homestead lodge. Set off on a 3 hour 30 min scenic drive crossing vast plains, rugged mountains, and striking desert landscapes. Keep an eye out for wildlife, including oryx, springbok, and ostriches, before reaching your lodge. After check-in, soak in the peaceful desert ambiance and watch a stunning sunset. Conclude the day with dinner under Namibia’s brilliant star-filled sky.

Rise before dawn and gear up for an exhilarating 6-hour guided adventure through the heart of Namib-Naukluft National Park. After an early breakfast, hop into an open sided 4×4 safari vehicle and tackle the park’s sandy tracks en route to the towering dunes of Sossusvlei.
Arrive at the Namib Naukluft Park entrance at sunrise to witness the desert bathed in golden light. Explore the haunting beauty of Sossusvlei, Deadvlei and, for the daring, climb the colossal Big Daddy dune for unmatched panoramic views. Along the way, your guide reveals fascinating insights into the desert’s unique wildlife and ancient landscapes, making this an unforgettable desert expedition.
Return to the lodge by early afternoon for an optional lunch,

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Windhoek. Enjoy a scenic 5-hour drive from Desert Homestead Lodge to Hosea Kutako International Airport, passing vast desert plains, acacia-dotted savannah, and semi-arid landscapes, with potential wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival at the airport, return your vehicle and check in for your departing flight.
