Maun to Okavango Delta

Upon arrival at Maun Airport, your guide will transfer you to the Okavango Delta in an open safari vehicle, including an en-route game drive lasting 1½–2 hours, with opportunities to spot antelope and other wildlife. At the delta, local guides and polers will lead you on a tranquil mokoro excursion along the Santantadibe River, watching for elephants, hippos, and crocodiles along the banks. In the afternoon, arrive at your wilderness campsite, where our backup team manages all chores. Settle into your spacious en-suite safari tent (6.0m x 2.9m x 2.5m), featuring a private veranda and bush toilet and shower. Meanwhile, a professional chef prepares a delicious dinner under the stars, as the sounds of the delta surround you, completing a serene and immersive first day in the wild.

Rise early to a light breakfast of cereals and refreshments, preparing you for an exciting day ahead. Begin with a morning nature or safari walk across the Okavango Delta, led by an experienced local guide who will share insights into the landscape, habitats, and wildlife. Return to camp for lunch and siesta, followed by high tea. In the afternoon, enjoy a mokoro excursion, drifting silently through the delta channels, spotting elephants, antelope, mud-bathing hippos, and birds, with the chance of encountering predators. Your wilderness campsite is supported by our backup team, who handle all chores, ensuring a comfortable stay. Relax in your spacious en-suite safari tent (6.0m x 2.9m x 2.5m) with a private veranda and bush toilet and shower. End the day with a chef-prepared dinner under the stars, immersed in the sounds of the delta.

Okavango Delta to Maun

Start your day with a light breakfast as the sun rises. Today, the adventure is tailored to your preference—you can choose between an early morning Mokoro excursion or a guided walk. Both activities offer a chance to experience the Delta's beauty one last time.

Upon your return, the backup team will have taken down most of the campsite, but a few amenities will remain for your convenience. Afterward, you will glide via Mokoro to Ditshiping Polling Station, where your safari vehicle will be waiting to transfer you back to Maun.

Before your departure, you have the option to stop by Ditshiping Cultural Village, where you can interact with the local community and get a glimpse into their way of life. On the journey back, enjoy an en-route game drive, with possible sightings of zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and red lechwe.
Finally, you will be dropped off in Maun at a pre-arranged location, ready for the next leg of your safari journey.
