Depart Nairobi early in the morning and journey north through the scenic highlands of Kenya, passing pineapple and tea plantations before descending into the arid plains of Samburu. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge, followed by an afternoon game drive in the reserve.
Keep your eyes peeled for elephants cooling off in the river and the region’s unique wildlife that differs from the southern parks. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and an evening of relaxation under the starlit Samburu skies.

After an early breakfast, spend the day exploring the stunning Samburu landscape on morning and afternoon game drives. The area’s semi-desert environment makes for spectacular photography, acacia-dotted plains, rocky outcrops, and winding riverbanks alive with wildlife. You’ll likely encounter elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and the famous Samburu Special Five.
Between drives, enjoy leisure time at your lodge’s pool or relax with panoramic views of the savannah. In the evening, you may have an optional visit to a Samburu cultural village to experience their traditional dances and way of life.
