Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax by the pool, enjoy the lodge’s gardens, or explore Arusha town.

In the evening, your guide will brief you on the exciting days ahead, ensuring you’re well-prepared for your safari adventure. Dinner and overnight will be at Planet Lodge or Arusha Serena Hotel.

Day 2

Arusha to Lake Manyara

Arusha to Lake Manyara

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic drive of about two and a half hours through the Great Rift Valley. This compact but diverse park is known for its beautiful landscapes and rich biodiversity.

The park’s lush groundwater forests give way to open plains and the soda lake, which attracts thousands of pink flamingos and other birdlife. On your game drive, look out for elephants, hippos, giraffes, and the famous tree-climbing lions that rest on the acacia branches.

In the afternoon, you may visit the nearby village of Mto wa Mbu, where you can interact with local communities and experience Tanzanian culture. Dinner and overnight will be at Furaha Luxury Lodgge.

Day 3

Lake manyara to Tarangire

Lake manyara to Tarangire

Today you will journey to Tarangire National Park, a short drive of about 1.5 hours. Tarangire is a landscape of rolling savannahs punctuated by massive baobab trees and winding rivers that attract an astonishing concentration of wildlife.

The park is particularly famous for its large elephant herds and resident lions, as well as its abundance of giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and over 500 species of birds. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park.

As the sun sets, the golden light illuminates the baobabs, creating unforgettable photo opportunities. Dinner and overnight will be at Africa Safari lodge.

After breakfast, set out for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, driving through the scenic highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes approximately five hours, but it’s filled with spectacular views and wildlife sightings along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, you’ll begin to see vast herds of wildebeest and zebras roaming across the plains. Enjoy a game drive en route to your camp, arriving in time to relax and watch the sun dip below the horizon. Dinner and overnight will be at Moyo tented camp.

Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day exploring the Serengeti, one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The central region, known as Seronera, offers some of the best year-round game viewing, particularly for big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

Early morning and late afternoon game drives give you the best chances to see predators on the hunt and herds grazing peacefully. Between drives, return to your camp for a hearty lunch and rest.

If you wish, you can book a hot air balloon safari at sunrise (optional, at extra cost), offering a breathtaking aerial view of the plains. Dinner and overnight will be at your Serengeti camp.

Day 6

Serengeti to Ngorongoro

After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning game drive as you exit the Ndutu area. Continue your journey north through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, taking in beautiful views of the highlands. Rather than descending into the crater today, you’ll drive directly to Karatu, a charming town nestled on the outer slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

The afternoon is free to relax at your lodge, take a guided nature walk, or visit a nearby coffee plantation. Dinner and overnight will be at Baghayo Garden suites, or a similar property in Karatu.

Day 7

Ngorongoro crater to Arusha

Ngorongoro crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, drive from Karatu to the nearby Ngorongoro Crater for your much-anticipated game drive. Descend into the crater, a vast natural amphitheater brimming with wildlife. The crater floor supports a high density of animals, including elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and the rare black rhino. Lions and hyenas are frequently seen here as well.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the hippo pool before ascending the crater walls and beginning your return journey to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon for your onward travel or evening flight.
