Arusha to Tarangire

After an early breakfast in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about 1.5–2 hours. Famous for its vast herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers a high concentration of wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals gather around the Tarangire River.

Enjoy a full-day game drive across open savannahs and woodland areas, spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of birds. A picnic lunch can be arranged inside the park.

Late in the afternoon, depart Tarangire and drive to your lodge near Ngorongoro or Karatu. Dinner and overnight will be at Simba A campsite, or similar mid-range accommodation.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Rise early for breakfast, then drive into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most spectacular natural arenas for wildlife in Africa. Descend the crater walls for a game drive on the fertile floor, home to lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool or in a scenic area of the crater before ascending the rim in the afternoon. Depart the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon for your onward travel.
