Your seven-day Kenya and Tanzania budget safari tour begins in Nairobi, where you’ll be picked up and transferred to Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy scenic stops, including a breathtaking viewpoint at the Great Rift Valley for photos. After a brief shopping stop in Narok town, continue to Masai Mara. Check into the camp, have lunch, and embark on your first game drive, tracking the “Big Five:” lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. Later you will return to camp for dinner and rest.

Early in the morning, you may choose to visit a Maasai village. Your tour then continues across the border as you bid farewell to the Masai Mara and journey to Nairobi, arriving at a hotel booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Dinner will be on your own, giving you the opportunity to enjoy Nairobi’s local cuisine. Spend the night at the hotel and make sure to get enough rest before continuing with the Tanzania portion of the journey.

Depart Nairobi and head south across the border into Tanzania. After clearing immigration at Namanga, continue your journey to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Spend the afternoon at your leisure, preparing for the next part of your adventure. Your overnight will be at a hotel booked on a bed-and-breakfast basis, allowing you to enjoy dinner on your own.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After breakfast, a 4×4 vehicle will take you 2,000 feet down into the crater for a day of exploring and viewing animals from different angles until you reach the crater floor.
