Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi, heading northwest through the dramatic escarpments of the Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you’ll pause at a scenic viewpoint to take in sweeping views of the valley floor.

By midday, you’ll arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park, a sanctuary famed for its shimmering alkaline lake and vibrant birdlife. After a hearty lunch at your lodge, set out on an afternoon game drive. Expect to see endangered white and black rhinos grazing near acacia trees, buffalo lounging in the grasslands, and flocks of flamingos painting the lake’s edge in hues of pink. As the sun dips behind the hills, retreat to your lodge for dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by nature.

Arriving in the Mara by early afternoon, you’ll check into your camp and enjoy a freshly prepared lunch. Later, head out for your first game drive in this world-renowned reserve. The Mara’s golden plains are alive with wildlife, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and big cats roam freely.
