Day 1

Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

Our driver/guide will pick you up from your stay. Our safari will start at 8:00 am departing for a scenic drive down into the Great Rift Valley & onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya's premier game reserve.

We will stop briefly en route at The Great Rift Valley Viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of what is the world’s largest valley, said to be even visible from space.

Arrive at Masai Mara in good time for lunch, then check into your rooms.

The afternoon introduction game drive will start at 4.30 pm allowing us to spot the magnificent wildlife in the park. We will return to our camp at 6.30 pm for the night.

Dinner and overnight at Mara Sweet Acacia Lodge.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive, the best time to witness predators in action as the Maasai Mara awakens. Lions, cheetahs, and hyenas roam the plains in search of prey. Return to camp for breakfast before setting out on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Spend the day exploring the vast savanna in search of the Big Five—lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, and buffalo—alongside giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and countless antelopes. With over 450 animal species recorded, the Mara offers one of Africa’s richest wildlife experiences. As the sun sets, return to camp for dinner and a relaxing evening under the stars. The Mara is also home to the legendary Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebra cross from Tanzania’s Serengeti, pursued by the predators of the plains—a spectacle unlike any other on Earth.

After an early breakfast, embark on an optional visit to a traditional Maasai village (optional for an extra cost). Step into the heart of this vibrant culture—meet the Maasai people, learn their age-old customs, and experience their songs, dances, and way of life. Then, begin your journey north toward Lake Nakuru National Park, descending through the dramatic Rift Valley landscape. Arrive in time for lunch at Lake Nakuru Lodge before setting out on an afternoon game drive. As you explore the shimmering shores of Lake Nakuru, watch in awe as thousands of pink flamingos blanket the water’s edge. Keep your eyes peeled for rhinos grazing in the open grasslands, leopards lurking in the acacia trees, and lions on the hunt. With its stunning scenery and abundant wildlife, Nakuru offers a perfect blend of serenity and adventure. Return to Lake Nakuru Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay beneath the tranquil African night sky.

Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive through Lake Nakuru National Park, where the soft dawn light reveals a landscape teeming with life. Watch as rhinos graze quietly in the open plains, giraffes glide gracefully between acacia trees, and a symphony of birdcalls fills the air. The lake shimmers pink with flamingos—a breathtaking sight among more than 350 recorded bird species. Keep your camera ready for Colobus monkeys leaping through the branches, leopards on the prowl, and herds of antelopes dotting the savanna.
Return to the Lodge for breakfast, then set out on your journey back to Nairobi, driving through the Great Rift Valley’s dramatic landscapes. Arrive in the afternoon for a drop-off at your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure through Kenya’s wild heart.
