1-Day Hells Gate National Parkand and Lake Naivasha

Morning:
Pick-up from your Nairobi hotel and transfer to our city office for a short safari briefing. Depart for the journey south through the Great Rift Valley, enjoying stunning views en route to Hell’s Gate National Park near Lake Naivasha.

On arrival, enjoy a guided game drive or cycling safari across the park’s open plains. Explore the towering cliffs, gorges, and caves, once home to the bearded vulture. For adventure lovers, you can hike through the Hell’s Gate Gorge and climb Fisher’s Tower (25m/75ft).

Watch for raptors nesting on the cliffs and wildlife such as buffalo, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and reedbucks. You’ll also pass by the Olkaria Geothermal Power Station, Africa’s first such facility, which generates about 25% of Kenya’s electricity.

Afternoon:
Proceed to Lake Naivasha for a scenic boat ride to see hippos and a variety of birdlife. Enjoy a late lunch by the lakeshore then departing for Nairobi.
