You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive in the Ndutu region. From December to April, this area becomes the heart of the Great Wildebeest Migration, when vast herds gather on the nutrient-rich short-grass plains to graze and give birth to their young.

Ndutu

This area is teeming with wildlife, and you’ll witness vast herds of wildebeest and zebra grazing across the open landscape.

Between January and March, and especially around February, the plains come alive with the calving season, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest give birth within just a few weeks. The abundance of newborns attracts numerous predators, creating some of the most dramatic wildlife encounters in Africa. Remarkably, wildebeest calves can run within minutes of birth, and within just a few days, they are strong enough to keep pace with the herd as it moves across the plains.
