Ndutu
After breakfast, you’ll set out for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region, exploring its diverse habitats — from swamps and woodlands to soda lakes and the iconic Serengeti short-grass plains. This area is teeming with wildlife, and you’ll witness vast herds of wildebeest and zebra grazing across the open landscape.
Between January and March, and especially around February, the plains come alive with the calving season, when hundreds of thousands of wildebeest give birth within just a few weeks. Remarkably, wildebeest calves can run within minutes of birth, and within just a few days, they are strong enough to keep pace with the herd as it moves across the plains.
