On this day, you will be picked up from your hotel and descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable wildlife experience. Sustained by a year-round water supply and abundant grazing, the crater is home to a remarkable diversity of animals, including herds of wildebeests, zebras, buffaloes, elands, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants. One of the park’s greatest attractions is its dense population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a trained eye to spot. You will also likely encounter large flocks of flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds along the crater’s lakes. In the late afternoon, you will transfer to the campsite for an overnight stay.

Its plains are traversed by massive herds of wildebeests and zebras during their annual migration, while livestock belonging to the semi-nomadic Maasai people graze alongside wild animals. The area is also rich in history, with hominin fossils in Olduvai Gorge dating back millions of years. In the afternoon, you will leave the national park and drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes.
