Pick up from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Lake Manyara National Park. Tanzania's most dramatically located park with its massive but shallow soda lake, covering two thirds of the park on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Ernest Hemingway extolled this scenic gem as 'the loveliest I had seen in Africa'. The forest patch is home to habituated troops of olive baboon and blue monkey. Buffalo, giraffe and several antelope species are easily encountered on a drive. Enjoy activities until around check out time. Drive to the campsite for the night. Meals: L, D.

Drive to Tarangire National Park for game drives. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of acacia woodland and giant baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. The park has one of the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. You'll have lunch at the picnic site and proceed with game drives until around check out time. Drive to the campsite for the night. Meals: B, L, D.

Drive to Ngorongoro and descend in the morning after breakfast into the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Crater (19.2km of diameter, 610m deep, 304 sq km) is one of the most densely crowded wildlife areas in the world and is home to some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Its huge population of predators is another big draw card to this picturesque crater. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, this breathtaking oasis provides a haven for both predator and prey to live among grasslands. After the game drives in the crater drive to Arusha for the drop off in the evening. Meals: B, L.
