In some areas, the vegetation is lush with tall elephant grass and acacia woodlands.

Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering along the riverbanks. It offers one of the best opportunities to observe these gentle giants in their natural environment—from playful calves to imposing bulls. Mto wa Mbu to Ndutu

After breakfast, you will head to the far southern reaches of Serengeti National Park, known as Ndutu.

Lake Ndutu, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, forms part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Like many of the Rift Valley lakes, its waters are alkaline, yet they remain drinkable and attract a remarkable diversity of wildlife. From December to April, the Great Migration dominates the short-grass plains, where vast herds of wildebeest gather to calve, accompanied by zebras and a host of predators. The area is also home to large populations of elephants, resident game, and a rich variety of birdlife.

The Ndutu region lies at the junction between the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park, creating a seamless wilderness that showcases some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing in Africa. After lunch and an extensive game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation, where you will stay for two nights.

It boasts the greatest concentration of plains game in Africa and is most famous for the Great Migration—an awe-inspiring spectacle where over a million wildebeest and around 200,000 zebras move from the northern hills to the southern plains with the short rains each October and November.

The Serengeti is truly the home of this legendary migration and offers one of the most authentic and exhilarating safari experiences in Africa.

While the crater can be busy with other vehicles, the abundance of animals and the sheer beauty of the landscape make it an unforgettable experience.

Ngorongoro is one of the best places in Africa to spot the endangered black rhinoceros, and it is home to the entire Big Five. It’s also an excellent location for observing lions and Cape buffalos throughout the year. A packed lunch will be enjoyed at one of the scenic picnic sites within the crater.
