After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River that winds its way through the landscape. This “river of warthogs” is the only permanent source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season, attracting a remarkable concentration of animals. In some areas, the vegetation is lush with tall elephant grass and acacia woodlands.
Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, often seen gathering along the riverbanks. It offers one of the best opportunities to observe these gentle giants in their natural environment—from playful calves to imposing bulls. The park is also home to giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and an extraordinary variety of birdlife, boasting more breeding species of birds than anywhere else on Earth.

After breakfast, you will head to the far southern reaches of Serengeti National Park, known as Ndutu.
Lake Ndutu, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, forms part of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Like many of the Rift Valley lakes, its waters are alkaline, yet they remain drinkable and attract a remarkable diversity of wildlife. From December to April, the Great Migration dominates the short-grass plains, where vast herds of wildebeest gather to calve, accompanied by zebras and a host of predators. The area is also home to large populations of elephants, resident game, and a rich variety of birdlife.
The Ndutu region lies at the junction between the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park, creating a seamless wilderness that showcases some of the most spectacular wildlife viewing in Africa. After lunch and an extensive game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation, where you will stay for two nights.
