1-Day Kilimanjaro Hike to Mandara Hut and Back

• You'll be collected from the airport.

Your trip begins around 6:30 a.m., with a pickup from your hotel in Arusha or Moshi town. The drive to Marangu Gate takes approximately two hours. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your professional Kilimanjaro climbing guide and complete registration before starting your climb at around 9:30 a.m.

During the day, you’ll hike up to Maudi Crater at an altitude of about 3,000 meters above sea level. Midway through the hike, you’ll stop to enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the stunning mountain views. The entire trek typically takes 3 to 6 hours.

At approximately 5:00 p.m., you’ll return to the gate, where you’ll be picked up and driven back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha.

Be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and a hat or head covering to protect yourself from the sun. Carry a light backpack with your essentials and plenty of drinking water.
