Day 1

Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

Zanzibar to Serengeti National Park

Upon arrival at the Seronera Airstrip, your driver will welcome you and whisk you away to begin your adventure in the world-famous Serengeti National Park, fondly known as “The Endless Plain.” Renowned for its rich and thriving wildlife, the Serengeti is home to the legendary “Big Five” — lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo. UNESCO World Heritage Site offers a breathtaking panorama of African wilderness, where golden savannas stretch endlessly beneath vast skies.
As you explore the park, witness one of nature’s greatest spectacles the migration of nearly 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles joining the wildebeests’ epic journey in search of greener pastures. Feel the thrill as the rhythmic thunder of millions of hooves echoes across the plains, capturing the very essence of Africa’s wild heart. After an exhilarating day of game drives and discovery, unwind and enjoy a peaceful evening at your lodge, where you’ll dine and overnight at the serene Land of Nature Lodge.

In addition to the park’s iconic large mammals, the Serengeti teems with fascinating smaller creatures — from colorful agama lizards and playful rock hyraxes darting across ancient granite kopjes, to industrious dung beetles busily at work. The park is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts, boasting around 500 recorded species. Keep your eyes peeled for the majestic ostrich striding across the plains, the striking secretary bird stalking its prey, and the graceful black eagles soaring effortlessly above the Lobo Hills.

As the sun sets over the golden savanna, you’ll return to your lodge to relax and unwind after a thrilling day in the wild. Enjoy your evening at leisure and overnight at the tranquil Land of Nature Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will depart for the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. Descend 600 meters into this vast volcanic caldera for a full-day game drive surrounded by breathtaking scenery and extraordinary wildlife. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the Ngorongoro Crater hosts one of the highest concentrations of animals on the continent, with an estimated 30,000 resident creatures including Tanzania’s endangered black rhino.

Thanks to its permanent water sources and lush pastures, the crater provides an ideal habitat for a diverse range of species. You’ll encounter thriving populations of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and majestic elephants. The crater is also famed for its dense predator population, where lions, hyenas, jackals, and cheetahs roam freely and with a bit of luck (and a keen eye), you may even spot the elusive leopard blending into the crater’s rugged landscape.
