Zanzibar - Tarangire National Park via Arusha

Depart from Zanzibar Island to Arusha Airport, where a driver will meet you and take you on a game drive in Tarangire National Park. The park’s iconic landscape features majestic baobabs rising from acacia-studded plains, providing a stunning backdrop for large herds of African elephants. You may also encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, black-backed jackals, Kirk’s dik-dik, dwarf and banded mongoose, impalas, Beisa oryx, steenbok, and African hares. Other commonly seen animals include buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and waterbucks. Birdwatchers can look out for Maasai ostriches, white-headed vultures, African scops owls, and the endemic ashy starling.

Enjoy lunch in the park before heading to your lodge later in the afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater - Flight to Zanzibar

Ngorongoro Crater - Flight to Zanzibar

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Ngorongoro Crater, a natural wonder that truly must be seen to be believed. You’ll descend into what was once the fiery heart of a massive volcano, now a peaceful haven where wildebeests, Coke’s hartebeests, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and zebras graze, all under the watchful eyes of lions and cheetahs. Black rhinos roam here with little concern for predators.

The crater is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with seasonal visitors such as grey-crowned cranes, lappet-faced vultures, black-bellied and kori bustards, Fischer’s lovebirds, and Northern anteater chats.

Lunch will be served at a picnic site within the crater, after which you’ll return to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar.
