Day 1

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a relaxing evening as you recover from your journey and prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the town, visit local markets, or simply rest and enjoy the views of Mount Meru or Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day.

Day 2

Machame gate

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with a scenic drive from Arusha or Moshi to the Machame Gate (1,800m), the official starting point of the Machame Route. Upon arrival, you will complete the national park registration formalities and meet your dedicated mountain crew, including your guide, porters, and cook—your support team for the journey ahead.

The route ascends gradually, allowing your body to start acclimatizing while you enjoy the peaceful sounds of the forest. After approximately 5–7 hours of trekking, you arrive at Machame Camp (3,000m), your first overnight stop on the mountain.

As you settle into camp, enjoy the fresh mountain air, a warm meal prepared by your cook, and stunning views of the surrounding rainforest. This evening offers your first taste of life on Africa’s highest mountain, setting the tone for an exciting and rewarding adventure ahead.

Day 3

Shira cave

After breakfast, leave the rainforest and ascend into the moorland zone, where the vegetation becomes sparser and views open up toward Mount Meru and the Shira Plateau. The trail is steep but rewarding as you climb to Shira Cave Camp (3,840m). Enjoy breathtaking scenery and a relaxing evening at camp while your team prepares a warm meal under the stars.

Day 4

Baranco camp

Today’s trek takes you from Shira Cave Camp toward the Lava Tower (4,630m), an important point for acclimatization. After lunch near the tower, you descend gradually into the beautiful Barranco Valley, surrounded by giant senecio and lobelia plants. You’ll arrive at Barranco Camp (3,960m), set beneath the impressive Barranco Wall, where you’ll enjoy dinner and a well-earned rest after an exciting day of climbing high and sleeping low.

Day 5

Karanga camp

After breakfast, begin your climb up the famous Barranco Wall, a fun and rewarding scramble that offers stunning views of the valley below. Once at the top, enjoy a scenic trek across ridges and valleys with views of Kibo Peak and Mount Meru in the distance. You’ll reach Karanga Camp (3,995m) in time for lunch and relaxation, allowing your body to acclimatize before the final ascent.

Day 6

Summit night

Summit night

This is the most challenging and rewarding day of your Kilimanjaro climb. You’ll begin your summit ascent around midnight from Barafu Camp (4,673m), climbing slowly in the cold and dark toward Stella Point (5,756m) on the crater rim. From there, continue along the ridge to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the highest point in Africa! Celebrate this incredible achievement and take in the breathtaking sunrise views over the glaciers and plains below. After photos and a short rest, descend to Barafu for a quick meal before continuing down to Mweka Camp (3,100m) for a well-deserved rest.

Day 7

After breakfast, begin your final descent through the lush montane rainforest, enjoying the sights and sounds of nature one last time. The trail leads to Mweka Gate (1,640m), where you’ll sign out and receive your summit certificate—a proud reminder of your Kilimanjaro achievement. Your driver will then transfer you back to Moshi or Arusha, where you can relax, enjoy a hot shower, and celebrate the completion of your unforgettable climb.
