Upon reaching the reserve you will check into your lodge overlooking the wild expanse and enjoy a buffet lunch before retreating to your room for a brief relaxation away from the hot semi desert sun

The exploration begins with an extensive afternoon game drive tracking herds of elephants along the Ewaso Ng'iro River and looking out for elusive predators as they begin their evening hunt. Conclude the drive with breathtaking sunset views over the northern plains. Tonight dine at the lodge immersed in the authentic sounds of the African bush.

Awaken ready for a full day immersed in the Samburu ecosystem starting the day with early morning game drive utilizing the cooler air when predators are most active. This is a prime opportunity for close encounters with predators as they hunt. Focus your search on locating the Samburu special five unique species adapted to this arid climate. Follow the life giving Ewaso Ng'iro river where large elephant herds often gather to drink, bathe and luckily also witness the thrilling crossing as they dare the dangerous river migrating to either side of the ecosystem. Later returning to your lodge for lunch and midday rest away from the hot northern sun. Head out again in the afternoon exploring different terrains within the reserve and edges of Buffalo Springs this time focusing on finding species not encountered in the morning. Aim for memorable sightings of the unique species such as gerenuk including elusive melanistic leopards. Dine at the lodge under the spectacular African night sky.

Make a stop at a nearby Samburu community village for a Short cultural tour for fascinating insights into the culture and ornamental lifestyle of the Samburu people. Finally sit back at the comfort of the jeep as you embark on the journey back to Nairobi enjoying the scenic transformation of the desert and highlands. The drive includes several necessary comfort stops en-route for bathroom breaks and opportunities to acquire unique local souvenirs. Occasionally pausing to reflect on the memorable moments you captured as you look out for the peak of Africa's second highest Mountain Mt. Kenya. The three day tour of the north ends back in Nairobi where you will share your drop off preferences with the guide bringing the memorable safari to a close.
