Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Arusha into the Tarangire region. As you roll into the park, the landscape changes: open savannah framed by ancient baobab trees, and the hum of wildlife all around. Arrival at Korongo Luxury Camp offers a welcome pause—check-in, relax with a welcome drink on your veranda and soak in the setting before your first safari outing. Late afternoon, head out on a game drive as the golden light deepens: keep your eyes peeled for elephant herds, grazing buffalo, and the first sightings of lions or leopards. Back at camp, enjoy a bush-style sundowner, followed by an evening around the fire under wide African skies.

Full day Tarangire

Rise early for the fresh dawn air and the promise of discovery. After breakfast, set out on a full-day game drive deep into Tarangire National Park: wander through baobab-dotted hills, cross seasonal rivers, and explore quieter corners of this wild region. Tarangire is famed for its large elephant populations and vast birdlife—an ideal day for nature lovers and photographers alike. Picnic lunch under the trees, then in the heat of midday either rest back at camp or continue exploring depending on your energy. Later, return to the field for a dusk drive—the wildlife often becomes more active as the day cools. Evening brings you back to camp, where you can relax in your luxury tent, enjoy dinner under the stars, and reflect on the day’s encounters.

Your final morning offers one last dawn game drive—perhaps catching the early light and the wildlife’s morning rituals. After breakfast and a final opportunity to absorb the surroundings of Korongo Luxury Camp, you’ll check out and depart Tarangire, heading back toward Arusha. Along the way, you may wish to stop at scenic viewpoints or local villages to round off the experience. Arrival in Arusha in the afternoon marks the end of the safari portion of the journey—memories of tusked giants, sweeping savannahs and luxury bush nights in Tarangire packed into three remarkable days.
