This 20 km-wide caldera is home to over 25,000 animals, including hyenas, black rhinos, and a rich variety of birds. Enjoy a hot picnic lunch near the hippo pool before continuing your journey to the Serengeti National Park. Though smaller in size, this national park is a true gem of Tanzania. Explore lush forests where elephants roam and large troops of baboons play, and with luck, spot the park’s famous tree climbing lions. Along the vast soda lake, encounter buffalos, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, warthogs, and flocks of vibrant flamingos. The shallow hippo pool provides excellent sightings, all set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Rift Valley Escarpment. Later, enjoy a scenic drive back to Arusha for your airport drop-off.
