Dar es Salaam to Mikumi National Park

You will be picked up by a guide from Crowned Wild Africa at your hotel, airport, or ferry for safari briefing and then drive south to Mikumi National Park, a journey of about 5–6 hours. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and relax before heading out on your first afternoon game drive. Explore Mikumi’s vast plains where elephants, giraffes, zebras, and lions roam freely against the backdrop of the Uluguru Mountains. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Mikumi to Nyerere National Park

Wake up to the sounds of the wild and enjoy breakfast before departing for Nyerere National Park. The journey takes you through charming countryside and traditional villages, with a stop for lunch along the way. Arrive in Nyerere by late afternoon and check in at your lodge. Later, set out for a scenic boat safari along the Rufiji River, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife as the sun begins to set, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

After an early breakfast, head out for a full-day game drive in Nyerere National Park with a packed lunch. Explore the park’s rich wildlife habitats, from open grasslands to riverine forests. Keep your eyes peeled for elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, wild dogs, zebras, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the park before continuing your exploration in the afternoon. Return to camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Walking Safari & Departure to Dar es salaam

Begin your final day with an early morning walking safari led by an armed ranger. This intimate experience allows you to learn about animal footprints, plants, and smaller wildlife up close. After breakfast, check out and begin your drive back to Dar es Salaam. Stop for lunch along the way before arriving in the city by late afternoon, Crowned Wild Africa representative will assist you to the airport or to your hotel.
