Day 1

Arrival in Entebbe & transfer to Kampala (Approx 1hr drive)

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the Company Rep will be waiting to receive you and there-on transfer you to Kampala.
You will have a pre-safari briefing on this day to answer all your queries, get all clarifications about the safari.

Dependent on your time of arrival, you will enjoy an afternoon tour of Kampala with a visit to the 4Africa Offices one of the local community initiatives that helps improve the lives of women and children through Craft. There are plenty of beautiful souvenirs you can purchase from purses, necklaces, animated stuffed Knit dolls & so much more
Arrivals on Wed, Fri & Sunday the evenings will be spent at Ndere Cultural Centre taking you around Ugandan Culture through Music & Dance. African Buffet dinner will be served before proceeding for overnight at Humura Resort.

Day 2

Kampala to Murchison Falls NP (Approx 6hrs drive)

Early morning breakfast & by 6:30am depart the hotel for 6 hour scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park.
Make a stop later at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary… “The only place to see white rhinos roaming the wild in Uganda!”
Enter the territory of the southern white rhinos on foot.
The well-trained rangers will guide you through the bush to where the rhinos are on the day of your visit.

Once done proceed for lunch at Kabalega Diners before you continue with the rest of your journey to Murchison Falls Park.

Evening: Check into your lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 3

Game drive, Nile boat cruise & hike to the Top of the Falls

Early morning breakfast & transfer for the morning game drive that will last approximately 3 hours.
Lunch is served between 12:30 and 2:15pm.
Thereafter enjoy an afternoon boat ride along the Mighty River Nile to the bottom of the Murchison Falls.
This stretch of river provides one of Uganda’s most remarkable wildlife spectacles. Regular visitors to the riverbanks include Elephants, Giraffes and buffaloes: while hippos, Nile crocodiles and aquatic birds are permanent residents.

Take a hike to the top of the falls to “see ” the magnificence of the Nile. See the Nile thunder through a 6m-wide gorge.
The driver will be waiting for you at the Top of the falls to transfer you back to Pakuba lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Murchison Falls - Kibale NP (Approx 6hrs drive)

Early morning breakfast at the lodge later setting off for Kibale Forest NPark, in Western Uganda, an incredibly diverse forest that is home to over 335 bird species (some rare or endemic) & 13 species of primates including chimpanzee, red Colobus monkey, the rare L’Hoest monkey, blue monkey, grey-cheeked mangabey, black faced vervet monkeys, baboons, pottos and bushbabies. Arrive at the Turaco Treetops in time for lunch.

After lunch, your guide will lead you to Kibale Association for Rural Environment Development where you will have a swamp walk through Bigodi.
Cleverly, constructed boardwalks lead you through Papyrus that towers above your head in Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a few minutes’ drive from Kibale Forest. With over 130 bird species, multi-colored butterflies, eight different types of primates and the rare, semi-aquatic Sitatunga (antelope), this is community tourism at its best.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5

After breakfast, it is an early start to report to the ranger headquarters at 8 am in Kibale Forest NP to track habituated Chimps. These engaging apes, our closest living relative, are great fun to watch as they play and fight in the fruit trees.
Your experienced guides will introduce you to the different members of the chimp families, as well as the birds and plant life of the forest. The trails through the forest are generally easy to navigate and you will always be accompanied by Rangers who will explain the fascinating traditional uses of the forest plant species – the forest elephant, smaller and hairier that its savannah counterpart, moves seasonally into areas of Kibale Forest.
Return to the lodge for your lunch before setting off to Queen Elizabeth national Park.
Afternoon game drive in the park before transfering to The Bush Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6

Game drive and boat trip along the Kazinga Channel

Early morning breakfast to set your day off for the early morning game drive on different trails in the park including the along the Kasenyi trail. There is great opportunity of seeing various animals like water bucks, Uganda Kobs, elephants, buffaloes, lions, warthogs as well as various birds.
Return to the lodge for your lunch.

2pm in the afternoon, you will take a water safari on the Kazinga Channel at Mweya that connects the two lakes of Edward and George. This is likely to be a big highlight of your trip! The expert Uganda Wildlife Authority guides will identify many of the Channel’s 100 bird species and you are likely to see African Skimmers, Great White Pelicans, Spoonbill and a number of Bee-eater species. Hippos wallow at the edge of the water, huge Nile crocodiles bask in the sun and elephants come down to drink. The Kazinga Channel boat ride is a brilliant opportunity to take some close-up wildlife shots.
Return to the lodge for overnight.
