Upon arrival, you'll be warmly welcomed by your Raja Safari Holidays tour guide, who will accompany you on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in Uganda, where you'll prepare for the gorilla trekking adventure. If your flight arrives early enough, there's an opportunity to enjoy a brief city tour of Kigali, including visits to the vibrant local market and the poignant Kigali Genocide Memorial.

Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Following an early breakfast, proceed to the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park briefing point for your gorilla trekking orientation. Remember to pack sufficient drinking water and a lunch box. Porters are available for $20 USD to carry your gear and assist on challenging sections of the trail.
After the briefing, you'll join a group of eight trekkers led by a park ranger into the forest for your once-in-a-lifetime hour with the mountain gorillas. Rain gear is essential in this tropical rainforest environment.
Following your trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for an afternoon of relaxation. Swim in Uganda's most pristine lake, explore by traditional canoe, or visit the surrounding local communities.

Transfer to Kigali Airport

After breakfast, you'll begin your journey back to Kigali International Airport, with timing coordinated to your flight schedule. If you were unable to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial on your first day and time permits, there's an opportunity to include a city tour before your departure. Please discuss your preferences with your guide to ensure all activities align with your available time.
We recommend allowing at least four hours for the return journey from Lake Bunyonyi to Kigali without additional stops, ensuring a stress-free arrival at the airport.
