Your adventure begins upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, where our professional guide warmly receives you before commencing the scenic 6–7 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. As you settle in, the guide offers a comprehensive briefing about the safari. This leisurely drive introduces you to Uganda’s lush countryside as you pass through Kampala, Masaka, Lyantonde and Mbarara. Along the way, you will pause at the Uganda Equator a celebrated landmark ideal for photographs, stretching, and appreciating the northern and southern hemispheres meeting point. You may also witness traditional drum makers and vibrant roadside markets that offer a glimpse into local craftsmanship and culture. After lunch en route, the journey continues through rolling landscapes, crater lakes, and sweeping savannah vistas as you approach the park. Upon arrival, check in at the lodge, relax, and enjoy dinner as you prepare for the next day’s wildlife experiences.

After breakfast, you embark on a rejuvenating boat cruise along the iconic Kazinga Channel at around 9:00 AM. This natural waterway boasts the world’s highest concentration of hippos, alongside Nile crocodiles, abundant birdlife, and an array of wildlife drawn to the shoreline. As you glide through calm waters framed by gentle hills, the channel reveals a theatre of wildlife activity—elephants quenching their thirst, buffalo herds cooling off, and water birds gracing the air with effortless elegance. Upon returning to the lodge, enjoy a sumptuous lunch and unwind during the early afternoon. Later, you set out for a thrilling evening game drive across the expansive Kasenyi Plains. This sector is famed for lions, hyenas, big elephant herds, solitary leopards, antelope species, and the busy interplay between predators and prey. The fading golden light adds a magical aura to the landscape, offering perfect photographic moments and lasting impressions.

Begin the day with an early breakfast before heading to the renowned Ishasha sector, a place where lions have mastered the art of climbing fig trees. As you traverse this remote wilderness, keep an eye out for these rare tree-climbing lions lounging high on branches, surveying the plains for prey. The journey is rewarding, offering views of buffalo herds, Uganda kobs, elephants, warthogs, and diverse savannah inhabitants. A packed lunch is provided for convenience, as game viewing in Ishasha can be extensive. Around midday, the journey continues towards Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Upon arrival at your lodge in the Kisoro region, check in, refresh, and prepare for an immersive optional Batwa cultural experience. This two-hour encounter unveils the ancient forest traditions, music, dances, and survival skills of the indigenous Batwa—the earliest inhabitants of the forest. Return to the lodge for dinner and a restful night amid the cool highlands.

This day marks the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for registration and a briefing on trekking guidelines. Once assigned to a gorilla family, your trek begins through dense vegetation, steep hillsides, and atmospheric jungle terrain. The trek can vary from one to several hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the moment you finally encounter these majestic primates is profoundly moving. You are allowed one full hour in their presence, observing their behavior, interactions, and striking resemblance to humans—a privilege that remains etched in memory. After descending from the forest and receiving your trekking certificate, your guide transfers you to the tranquil shores of Lake Bunyonyi. Known as the “Switzerland of Africa,” the lake enchants with terraced hillsides, serene waters, and dotted islands. Evening relaxation, dinner, and cozy rest complete your day.
