Mikumi/Selous Safari Day Trip

Start your day with an early morning pick-up from your hotel around 5:00–5:15 a.m., ready for an unforgettable safari. A short, scenic flight of about 50 minutes brings you to Mikumi Airstrip, where a professional safari guide awaits. From there, embark on a thrilling game drive in open vehicles across Mikumi National Park’s expansive savannahs. Witness majestic wildlife in their natural habitats, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, lions, wildebeest, and buffalo. Pause for a delightful picnic or lodge lunch within the park, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness. Continue your safari in the afternoon, exploring additional areas to maximize wildlife encounters and capture stunning photographs. As the day concludes, board a late afternoon flight back to Zanzibar, the Island Paradise Hotel. Departure flight to Livingstone, Zambia

Breakfast at your hotel in Zanzibar before transferring to the airport for your onward journey to Zambia. Fly to Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport, then connect via a domestic flight to Livingstone, Zambia’s tourism capital. Upon arrival, the Lochinvar Safaris team will welcome you and transfer you to your comfortable hotel or lodge with delicious meals and excellent amenities. In the late afternoon, embark on a scenic sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. Relax with drinks, enjoying breathtaking views, colorful skies, and wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and exotic birds. Take in the serene beauty of the river and surrounding nature reserves while enjoying the calming atmosphere of the African wilderness. Around 5:30 p.m., join a meet-and-greet and briefing by Lochinvar Safaris on safety, eco-tour practices, and cultural etiquette. Retire for the evening, reflecting on your arrival day. Full-Day Chobe Safari Adventure, Botswana

Begin your day with a 6:45 AM pick-up from Oriental Swan Hotel (or equivalent) in Livingstone and travel 88 km to the Kazungula Zambia/Botswana border. Arrive at 8:00 AM for immigration clearance at the one-stop border post. At 8:30 AM, meet your Botswana guide and drive to Chobe National Park. At 9:00 AM, embark on a thrilling game drive in an open vehicle, spotting the park’s famous elephant herds—the largest in the world—along with lions, leopards, wild dogs, and other wildlife. At 12:30 PM, enjoy a buffet lunch at Chobe Safari Lodge or a similar riverside venue. At 2:30 PM, board a guided boat cruise on the Chobe River, offering sightings of elephants, crocodiles, hippos, buffalo, and diverse bird species. Conclude the cruise by 4:00 PM and transfer back to the Botswana/Zambia border. Re-enter Zambia and return to your hotel by 6:00 PM. Dinner and optional evening drinks are available (self-pay). Start your day with breakfast at your hotel in Livingstone at 07:30 AM before a cross-border adventure to Zimbabwe. At 10:00 AM, travel to the Victoria Falls border post, complete Zambia exit formalities, and cross the historic Victoria Falls Bridge, enjoying views of the Zambezi River and the Falls. At 11:00 AM, enter Victoria Falls National Park and explore scenic viewpoints along the rainforest trail, witnessing the Falls’ mist and lush vegetation. Between 1:30–2:00 PM, enjoy lunch at The Lookout Café (optional-self pay) or Malonga Village Restaurant (included). At 2:00–2:30 PM, take a short town tour of Victoria Falls. Start your day at 08:00 AM with a thrilling Game Drive and Rhino Walk Safari in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park on the outskirts of Livingstone. This two-hour adventure in an open 4x4 vehicle, guided by a qualified guide, offers encounters with three of Africa’s iconic Big Five — Elephant, Buffalo, and White Rhino — with excellent photo opportunities. Experience close encounters with the endangered White Rhino on foot, exploring riverine forest, mopane woodland, and open grasslands home to giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, impala, buffalo, bushbuck, waterbuck, warthog, monkeys, baboons, hippos, and crocodiles. The predator-free park ensures abundant wildlife sightings. Visit the Old Drift Crossing Point and cemetery, where early settlers crossed the Zambezi by ox-wagon. At 12:00 PM, exit the park.
