From Arusha to Tarangire
After breakfast, your Ozon Light Tours Safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and you’ll set off for Tarangire National Park—a scenic drive of about two and a half hours on well-maintained tarmac roads. The park takes its name from the Tarangire River, the primary water source for wildlife during the dry season. Famous for its impressive elephant populations, Tarangire offers excellent opportunities to observe these giants gathering along the riverbanks. You may also spot giraffes, bushbuck, hartebeest, and if you’re lucky predators like lions and leopards roaming nearby.
Tarangire boasts one of the highest concentrations of bird species in the world and is dotted with massive, ancient baobab trees, some estimated to be over a thousand years old. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s designated picnic areas.
Following your game drive, you will continue on to your accommodation in Karatu.

Once you’ve had lunch, you’ll set out on a game drive through the Ndutu region. From December to April, the vast herds of the wildebeest migration typically gather on these short-grass plains. Full day game drive Ndutu Area
Full day game drive Ndutu Area
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region. Our aim is to explore the diverse habitats found hereincluding swamps, woodlands, alkaline lakes, and the iconic Serengeti short-grass plains. This area offers remarkable wildlife encounters, especially the breathtaking sight of vast herds of wildebeest and zebra.
Around January, over a period of roughly three weeks, most wildebeest give birth, with nearly half a million calves arriving in an extraordinary display of synchronized calving. With little vegetation for cover, newborn calves are vulnerable but remarkably, they are able to run within minutes and typically keep pace with the herd within just a few days.
As the day’s adventures across the “Endless Plains” come to a close, we’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

From Ndutu to Ngorongoro Area
After breakfast, we’ll set off for a game drive through the Serengeti en route to the Ngorongoro Crater. With a bit of luck, we may spot all of the famed “Big Five” across the vast ‘Endless Plains.’ The Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was formed millions of years ago by the eruption of a massive volcano once taller than Kilimanjaro. Today, it stands 610 meters deep and spans roughly 304 square kilometers
We’ll reach the Crater rim before lunch, taking in the breathtaking panorama before descending the winding, bumpy road to the Crater floor. Almost immediately, we’ll encounter wildlife: wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, elephants, and if fortune favors usa rare black rhino moving through the grasslands.
After lunch and a full afternoon exploring the Crater, we’ll continue to our partner mid-range lodge in arround Lake Manyara for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we’ll set off for the final stop on this unforgettable safari Lake Manyara National Park. Although relatively small, this park located about 120 km west of Arusha is remarkably diverse. Its namesake, a shallow soda lake, covers roughly seventy percent of the park and expands or recedes with the seasons. The lake attracts thousands of flamingos and over 500 other bird species.
During our exploration, we may encounter monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and, with a touch of luck, lions relaxing in the trees. The park’s landscapes are equally varied, from open grassy plains to woodland teeming with primates, and dramatic cliffs dotted with ancient baobabs.
After lunch, we’ll journey back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon as this incredible adventure comes to a close. You’ll carry with you the sights, sounds, and memories of wild East Africa, treasured for a lifetime.
