Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha after breakfast and begin your journey toward Tarangire National Park, distance from Arusha to Tarangire is 120 km / 2.5 hours. Tarangire is famous for the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, towering baobab trees, the Tarangire River, a lifeline attracting wildlife year-round, large herds of zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, excellent sightings of lions.

Tarangire has over 500 bird species, including ostriches and hornbills.
Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive to Fig Tree Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2

Tarangire to Lake Natron

Tarangire to Lake Natron

After breakfast, drive toward the dramatic landscapes of Lake Natron, one of East Africa’s most unique destinations. On the way, enjoy views of endless Maasai plains, the breathtaking Great Rift Valley escarpment, the striking silhouette of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the active “Mountain of God” volcano.

Upon arrival at Lake Natron, your local Maasai guide will lead a walking tour to explore lake Natron, the world’s largest breeding site for flamingos, beautiful algae-rich red waters, a guided hike to the Engaresero Waterfalls (optional depending on timing)
In the evening arrive at your Lake Natron campsite for dinner and overnight under the stars.

Day 3

Lake Natron to Serengeti

Lake Natron to Serengeti

After an early breakfast, begin your drive from Lake Natron through remote Maasai territory and enter Serengeti National Park through the Klein’s Gate. The distance from Lake Natron to Serengeti is 170 km / 5 hours

Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way, including gazelles, zebras, wildebeests grazing the open plains, maasai giraffes, hyenas and jackals, birds of prey along the hillsides

As you enter the central Serengeti (Seronera), you’ll notice: endless savannah landscapes, famous kopjes (rock formations)
Enjoy a game drive en route to Seronera Public Campsite, where you will have dinner and camp inside the park.

Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After breakfast enjoy a full day dedicated to exploring the beauty of the vast Serengeti.
Serengeti is known for the Great Migration (over 1.5 million wildebeests & zebras) depending on season, one of Africa’s highest concentrations of lions, excellent chances to see cheetahs in open plains, leopards commonly found in the Seronera River region, hippos in the Retina Hippo Pool and iconic savannah landscapes and stunning sunrise/sunset views.

Spend the day exploring different areas of the park with a picnic lunch served at a scenic viewpoint.
Return to your campsite for dinner and overnight, with wildlife sounds around the camp making the night magical.

Day 5

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, begin a game drive enroute as you exit Serengeti. Continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, called “Africa’s Eden.” Inside the crater, attractions include the crater floor lake systems, open grasslands and acacia woodlands, very high chances of seeing the Big Five (lion, buffalo, elephant, rhino, leopard), hippos in Lake Magadi, golden and black-backed jackals, spotted hyenas, rich birdlife including crowned cranes and kori bustards

Enjoy a maximum of 6-hour game drive inside the crater, followed by a picnic lunch near the hippo pool and later ascend the crater and drive to Fig Tree Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 6

Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, known for its diverse ecosystems including dense groundwater forest, open lake shores, acacia woodland, hot springs (Maji Moto), thousands of flamingos along the lake (seasonal)

Other wildlife often seen include elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, blue monkeys, baboons, and impalas.
After a game drive exist the park and visit the Mto wa Mbu village for activities such as canoening and later have picnic lunch or local lunch in the evening you will drive back to Arusha, where your safari ends.
