Dar es Salaam – Selous (Game Drive + Overnight at Seluu Camp)

Your safari begins with a very early pick-up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam between 04:30 AM and 05:00 AM, followed by a 4–5 hour drive to Mtemere Gate. Upon arrival, you complete park entry formalities and immediately start your full-day game drive inside Nyerere National Park. This vast ecosystem is home to elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, hippos, crocodiles, and the renowned African wild dogs. Around midday, you stop for a picnic bush lunch at a designated spot inside the reserve before continuing with more wildlife viewing in the afternoon. Later in the day, you drive to Seluu Camp for check-in, relaxation, and dinner. Enjoy an evening surrounded by nature before spending the night at the camp.

Selous – Boat Safari – Return to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast at the camp, you embark on a morning boat safari along the Rufiji River, one of Selous’ major highlights. This experience allows you to see hippos, crocodiles, and a wide variety of bird species from close range while enjoying the river’s peaceful atmosphere. After the boat safari, you may enjoy a short game drive or cultural village visit depending on your timing. Later, you exit the park and begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening for drop-off at your hotel or head straight to the Airport for departure, marking the end of your 2-day Selous adventure.
