Transfer from Bujumbura to Kigali

Your trip begins with a pickup from your Bujumbura hotel at 08:00 on Sundays and Wednesdays or at 13:35 on other days. You are transferred to Melchior Ndadaye International Airport for a short 45-minute flight to Kigali. Upon landing your guide welcomes you and escorts you to your hotel for check-in. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and preparing for the cultural and wildlife experiences ahead. Overnight at Haven Boutique and Restaurant or similar.

Kigali Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes NP

After breakfast your guide meets you at 08:30 for a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s journey of resilience and renewal. You then travel north through picturesque countryside toward Volcanoes National Park. After lunch you explore the Gorilla Museum followed by a cultural experience at the Gorilla Guardians Village, where local communities share traditional dance and storytelling. Overnight at Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge or similar.

Gorilla or Golden Monkey Trekking and Transfer to Uganda

Begin the day with your selected activity in Volcanoes National Park. If you choose gorilla trekking, a Rwanda gorilla permit costing USD 1,500 must be secured at the time of booking the tour to guarantee availability. Alternatively, you may join a golden monkey trek, a lively and immersive primate experience. After your activity, continue your journey across the border into Uganda, arriving in either Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga Gorilla National Park for an evening of rest and preparation for the next day’s trek. Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel or similar.
