Transfer to Lake Mburo – Evening Game Drive or Birding Walk
After breakfast, begin your scenic transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, a serene landscape of rolling hills, acacia woodland, and scattered lakes that offer some of Uganda’s best birding and wildlife viewing. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and a short rest.
In the late afternoon, head out for an evening game drive, the perfect time to watch the park come alive with activity. Look out for zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, topis, warthogs and a rich collection of savanna birds. The golden-hour lighting makes this drive incredibly photogenic, with wide open plains glowing in soft evening tones.
Alternatively, a relaxed birding walk can be arranged with a ranger, offering excellent sightings of species such as the African grey hornbill, lilac-breasted roller, bare-faced go-away bird, and many more.
Return to the lodge for a peaceful evening overlooking the park.
