Arrival & Kigali City Tour – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Your adventure begins with pickup from your Kigali hotel or airport. Enjoy a guided tour of Kigali including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local craft markets, the Belgian Peacekeepers Memorial, and other cultural landmarks that showcase Rwanda’s remarkable transformation.
After lunch, drive through the scenic “Land of a Thousand Hills’’ toward the Katuna border and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda. Arrive at your lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Lifetime Experience

Start the day early with breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing. Meet your ranger guides and begin the trek through the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family.
The trekking time ranges from 1–6 hours depending on the group’s location. Once you find them, enjoy a magical one-hour encounter watching them feed, play, groom, and interact. This intimate moment with the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas is emotional and unforgettable.
Return to the lodge for lunch if you didnot have it from the forest and relaxation.
Optional: community walk to visit the Batwa or a nature walk.

Scenic Drive Back to Kigali – End of Tour

After a peaceful breakfast surrounded by Bwindi’s misty rainforest, you will check out and begin the scenic drive back to Rwanda. The journey offers stunning views of terraced hillsides, tea plantations, rolling mountains, and friendly village communities along the way. After crossing Katuna border, the landscapes become even more dramatic as you descend into Rwanda’s famous “Land of a Thousand Hills,” with endless valleys and winding roads perfect for photographs. You will arrive in Kigali in the afternoon, where your guide can drop you at your hotel, the airport, or a local craft market for final shopping, marking the end of your memorable gorilla trekking adventure with Lineage Gorilla Safaris.
