Day 1
Our tour begins with a guided visit to Constitutional Hill in Braamfontein. This landmark functions as a living museum, chronicling South Africa's path to democracy and housing the Constitutional Court.
We then cross the Mandela Bridge into Johannesburg's CBD. This 284-meter cable-stayed bridge, South Africa's largest, honors Nelson Mandela. During an orientation drive, your guide highlights significant landmarks.
The journey continues to the Apartheid Museum (closed Mondays & Tuesdays). This institution presents South Africa's apartheid period through 22 exhibitions. Refreshments are available at the Truth Café.
We depart at 14h00 for Soweto, exploring heritage sites documenting anti-apartheid resistance. The itinerary includes a walk through Motsoaledi informal settlement (time permitting) and visits to the Hector Pieterson Museum, Regina Mundi Church, and Nelson Mandela Museum (entrance fees excluded). The tour concludes at Vilakazi Street before returning to your accommodation.
