Morning pick-up from Nairobi and drive to Chogoria Town (about 3½–4 hours).
Early lunch in Chogoria, then transfer by 4x4 vehicle along the forest track towards Chogoria Gate / Anabas lodge inside Mt Kenya National Park.
Short afternoon acclimatization walk around the Anabas lodge forest edge.
Briefing by your mountain guide and equipment check in the evening.
Meals & Overnight: Dinner and overnight at Anabas lodge.

Day 2

Chogoria Gate – Lake Ellis (±3,400m)
After breakfast, begin trekking on the Chogoria trail through heather and moorland.
Gentle ascent with beautiful views of rolling highlands and, if clear, back towards the lowlands.
Arrive at Lake Ellis in time for lunch.
Afternoon at leisure by the lake or optional short acclimatization walk along the lakeshore.
Hiking time: 4–5 hours

Day 3
Lake Ellis - Mintos Camp

Lake Ellis – Mintos Camp / Mintos Hut (±4,200m)
Trek higher along ridges with wide views into the Gorges Valley.
Enjoy stunning vistas of Lake Michaelson and the main peaks (Batian, Nelion and Lenana) as you approach the high alpine zone.
Arrive at Mintos Camp (Mintos Hut area) in the early afternoon.
Optional short walk to the cliff edge viewpoints overlooking Lake Michaelson – perfect for photos.
Hiking time: 5–6 hours

Day 4
Mintos - Austrian Hut
Mintos - Austrian Hut
Mintos – Austrian Hut / Simba Tarn (Acclimatization Day)
Easy day to aid acclimatization and prepare for the summit.
After breakfast, take a light trek (without full loads) towards Austrian Hut / Simba Tarn area and back, or explore more viewpoints along the Gorges Valley.
Return to Mintos Camp for hot lunch, rest and early dinner.
Early night in preparation for the summit attempt.

Day 5
Mintos-Point Lenana-shipton-Old moses
Mintos-Point Lenana-shipton-Old moses
Mintos – Point Lenana (4,985m) – Shipton’s – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)
Very early start (around 02:30–03:00 AM) for the summit attempt.
Steady climb towards Point Lenana, arriving at the summit at sunrise.
Enjoy breathtaking 360° views of the Mt Kenya peaks and, on a clear day, views stretching to the Aberdares and beyond.
After photos and a short rest, descend on the Sirimon side via Shipton’s Camp and into the wide Mackinder’s Valley.
Continue descending through the moorland to reach Old Moses (Judmaier) Camp at about 3,300m for your last night on the mountain.
Hiking time: Approx. 9–11 hours (summit + long descent)

Day 6
Old Moses - Sirimon -Nairobi

Old Moses Camp – Sirimon Gate – Nairobi
After breakfast, descend along a wide track through moorland and montane forest to Sirimon Gate (approx. 2,650m).
Meet your vehicle at the gate and drive back towards Nanyuki (optional brief stop), then continue to Nairobi.
Late afternoon arrival and drop-off at your agreed location in Nairobi.
End of tour.
