You'll fly from Addis Ababa to Jima and drive to and arrive at Chebera Churchura National Park and check in to your lodge or campsite. After settling in, your guide gives a short briefing about the park and the upcoming activities. You begin an afternoon forest walk through the park’s lush vegetation. Along the way, you may encounter colobus monkeys, colorful bird species, and beautiful natural scenery. Your overnight stay will be at Chebera Elephant Paw Lodge.

You'll start the day early with a full day through the park’s diverse habitats. You travel through prime wildlife-viewing areas known for elephants, buffalo, hippos, and various antelope species. You will explore open grasslands, riverbanks, and forested zones where many bird species gather. Throughout the day, your guide will share insights about the park’s ecosystem and help you spot a wide range of wildlife.
Your overnight stay will be at Chebera Elephant Paw Lodge.

Scenic Trek & Departure

In the morning, you hike to either the natural hot springs or one of the park’s scenic waterfalls. The walk offers peaceful scenery and opportunities to observe smaller wildlife and unique plant life. After the trek, you'lll head back to the camp for lunch before departing the park in the afternoon.
