Mto wa Mbu

After breakfast, you’ll drive to the vibrant village of Mto wa Mbu, one of Tanzania’s most culturally diverse communities. Here, you’ll enjoy a guided cultural experience exploring banana plantations, rice fields, bustling local markets, and traditional homes where you can witness daily life up close. Meet artists in their workshops, including Tinga Tinga painters and Makonde woodcarvers, and learn about local traditions such as banana beer brewing. A delicious traditional lunch prepared by a women’s group offers a flavorful taste of local cuisine. Ngorongoro Crater

Start early to visit the Hadzabe hunter-gatherers for an authentic cultural encounter (optional), then continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of wildlife viewing. The crater floor hosts elephants, lions, black rhinos, buffaloes, hippos, and countless bird species. After game viewing, head to your lodge located on or near the crater rim.
