Raise early about 6 am have breakfast 6:30am, thereafter begin your day with a scenic 8–9 hour drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. En-route, stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a unique opportunity to track Rhinos on foot, guided by experienced rangers. This sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see these magnificent creatures the rescued white Rhinos; in their natural habitat. Children love the thrill of spotting these massive creatures up close while learning about conservation.
Have lunch at the rhino sanctuary restaurant or in Kigumba Town. After proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Upon arrival, check in and rest for the night.

Get up early and begin your day with a hearty breakfast before heading for a game drive on the northern bank of the Nile River. Your family explores rolling savannahs where you will be able to spot a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, and leopards if you are lucky. Kids delight in seeing giraffes stretching high for leaves or warthogs trotting beside the track. Return to the lodge for relaxation, and lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go on a launch cruise to the base of Murchison Falls. This cruise offers spectacular views of the falls from below and opportunities to see hippos, crocodiles, and many bird species like the rare shoebill stork, fish eagles, and different kingfishers. End the day with a delicious dinner at the lodge.

After your relaxed breakfast at the lodge, the adventure continues with a family-friendly hike to the Top of Murchison Falls the center piece of this park, where Nile River the longest river in Africa explodes amazingly as the white waters forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world. Children love the sound and spray, making it a memorable amazing family photo spot.
Murchison Falls, where the park gets its name is the most unique and popular tourist attraction in this park. They were named after the geologist Sir Fredrick Murchison, who was then President of Great Britain’s Royal Geographical Society. The falls were named by explorer Sir Samuel Baker in 1864. The sheer force and beauty of the falls provide a spectacular photo opportunity. After, drive back to the lodge for a hot lunch and relaxation at your patio in the afternoon.
