Nairobi - Masai Mara National Reserve

Your safari begins early in the morning with a pickup from your Nairobi hotel or the airport early morning. From there, you’ll travel through scenic landscapes, passing rolling hills and the dramatic vistas of the Great Rift Valley as you make your way to the Masai Mara. Upon arrival at Zebra Plains Mara Camp, you will have lunch and some time to relax while taking in the stunning surroundings. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the reserve, where you can spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of other wildlife. Between July and October, the plains come alive with the annual wildebeest migration, creating incredible viewing opportunities. You’ll return to the camp in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drives in Masai Mara

After breakfast, set out for a full day of exploration across the Masai Mara. With a picnic lunch, you’ll have the chance to visit different parts of the reserve, including open savannahs, wooded areas, and riverine habitats, each offering unique wildlife encounters. Your guide will help track predators, watch elephant herds, and, if visiting during migration season, observe wildebeest and zebras near the Mara River. Alternatively, you may choose an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active, returning to camp to rest before heading out again in the afternoon. After a day filled with remarkable wildlife sightings, return to Zebra Plains Mara Camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha - Nairobi

Following breakfast, you will depart the Masai Mara and drive to Lake Naivasha, a tranquil freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic boat ride where you can see hippos in the water and a variety of birds, including fish eagles and kingfishers. After the boat trip, take a guided nature walk on Crescent Island or a nearby sanctuary, encountering free-roaming wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes. Once your exploration is complete, you will continue back to Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward travel.
