Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds and towering baobabs. Enjoy a full game drive through diverse terrains as you search for lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and seasonal wildlife along the Tarangire River. In the late afternoon, exit the park and continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for the beautiful Ndutu region, located between the southern Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The landscapes open into sweeping plains dotted with acacia trees ideal territory for cheetahs, lions, and other predators. Depending on the season (Dec–March), this area hosts the Great Migration’s calving season, offering dramatic wildlife encounters. Enjoy game drives en route and around the Ndutu plains before arriving at your tented camp for an authentic bush experience.

With flexible off-road game driving allowed in this area, you can follow wildlife closely, enhancing your chances of spotting hunting predators, newborn wildebeest, and incredible birdlife. Your guide will take you through woodlands, lakeshores, and open plains in search of lions, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, and more. Return to your campsite at sunset for dinner under the stars.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater

This morning, depart Ndutu and drive toward the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater. Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a spectacular game drive in a natural wildlife sanctuary often referred to as “Africa’s Eden.” Expect close encounters with black rhinos, large prides of lions, hippos, buffalo, and abundant birdlife around Lake Magadi. After a rewarding day, drive back to Karatu for your overnight stay.
