Kibale National Park, the primate capital of East Africa, offers one of the best chimpanzee trekking experiences in Uganda. Venture deep into the tropical rainforest, crossing forest streams while tracking chimpanzees with the guidance of an experienced ranger. Along the way, you may spot red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, colorful butterflies, and a variety of forest birds calling from the canopy.
Enjoy unforgettable photography moments as you observe chimpanzees playing, feeding, and interacting in their natural habitat. After lunch, and time permitting, visit Bigodi Village and Wetland Sanctuary, renowned for its rich birdlife and primate diversity.

Day 3

Today, begin your scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive takes approximately 6–8 hours, passing through the stunning Kigezi Highlands, famous for their rolling, terraced hills often called the Switzerland of Africa.
Lunch will be enjoyed en route or at your lodge, depending on arrival time. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge in or near the forest and relax as you prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
The highlight of your safari is mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Explore the dense, wildlife-rich rainforest, home to numerous primates, birds, butterflies, and mammals, before coming face-to-face with the rare and gentle mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking can take 1 to 8 hours, depending on their movement, but you will have one full hour with the gorillas to capture unforgettable moments.
Optional activities include a community village walk or a short guided forest walk. The Batwa cultural experience offers insight into the traditions of Uganda’s forest people and takes up to 5 hours, including travel. Costs are USD 80 for solo travelers, USD 70 per person for 2–3 people, and USD 60 per person for groups of 4 or more.

Return to Kampala or Entebbe
Return to Kampala or Entebbe
After an early morning breakfast, you will drive back to Kampala/Entebbe International Airport for your flights out later in the evening. You'll have lunch in the city or the Equator depending on your arrival time and proceed to Entebbe International Airport. This day is reserved for evening flights through Entebbe International Airport or a post-night to be organized in either Kampala or Entebbe. If you request a post-night, please let us know in advance.
