Today, you will travel south to Kibale Forest National Park, widely celebrated as the Primate Capital of the World with over 13 primate species, including the iconic chimpanzees. Enjoy a scenic drive through tea plantations and traditional villages, stopping for lunch along the way. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and unwind after the journey, or opt for a guided community walk to explore the local culture and stunning landscapes surrounding Kibale.

After breakfast, head to Kibale National Park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your chimpanzee trekking adventure with a professional guide. Kibale Forest, famous for its high concentration of chimpanzees, offers a rare opportunity to observe these intelligent primates in their natural habitat.

After the trek, travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, home to hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants, and diverse birdlife, including African fish eagles. Later, embark on a game drive across the savannah plains, spotting lions, elephants, antelopes, and more, before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After a relaxed breakfast, depart for the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, world-famous for its rare tree-climbing lions. This area offers a 60–70% chance of spotting lions perched in fig trees, though they may move into the grasslands to hunt. After the morning game drive, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. Travel through the scenic Kigezi Highlands, with rolling hills and terraced landscapes often called the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay, preparing for the next day’s gorilla tracking adventure.

After breakfast, head to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest ranger station for a briefing on gorilla tracking guidelines. Once prepared, begin your trek into the heart of this ancient rainforest, a steep, mist-covered jungle rich with wildlife trails. Trekking duration and difficulty vary depending on the movement of the gorillas as they roam freely through the forest.

Upon locating a mountain gorilla family, spend a memorable hour observing these gentle, endangered giants in their natural habitat, witnessing their behavior and capturing unforgettable wildlife moments. After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic and tranquil lakes, for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
