Day 2

After breakfast in Arusha, you will be collected by your safari guide and set out for Tarangire National Park, famed for its sprawling herds of elephants and iconic baobab-studded landscapes. Upon arrival, you will embark on an afternoon game drive, exploring the park’s diverse habitats—from sweeping savannahs to riverine forests—teeming with giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a variety of predators. As the sun sets over the plains, the golden glow of the African wilderness will leave a lasting impression. Your overnight stay will be at Fig Tree Lodge and Camp, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided, along with daily drinking water. After a hearty breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your lodge and escort you on a scenic drive to the legendary Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, you will embark on an afternoon game drive through the park’s central plains, immersing yourself in the awe-inspiring vistas and encountering the extraordinary wildlife that defines this iconic landscape.

Your overnight stay will be at Seronera Public Campsite, where breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided, along with daily provisions of drinking water for each guest.

Serengeti National Park stands as the world’s last great wildlife sanctuary, harboring an estimated three million large mammals. Many of these creatures partake in the legendary seasonal migration, one of nature’s most breathtaking spectacles. Today, you will embark on a half-day game drive in the Serengeti, witnessing its extraordinary wildlife. Breakfast will be at Seronera, followed by lunch at Naabi Gate as you depart for the Ngorongoro Crater and overnight at Simba Public Campsite. All meals and daily drinking water are included. Within an hour from Seronera, numerous resident lion prides can be seen, shifting west and north in the dry season, offering excellent viewing opportunities. The area is also famed for leopard sightings, especially in sausage trees along the Seronera River, where this elusive and majestic cat may be glimpsed perched gracefully among the branches.

Early in the morning, you will enjoy breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling game tour. Often hailed as the Eighth Natural Wonder of the World, the crater is the largest intact caldera on Earth. Formed over 2 million years ago when the Ngorongoro volcano erupted and collapsed, its 600m-high walls enclose a 19km-wide sanctuary of acacia forests, hippo-filled swamps, and open grasslands. These diverse habitats host over 30,000 animals, including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, the rare black rhinoceros, and all the predatory cats. The Maasai graze cattle alongside buffalo and wildebeest. Lunch will be at the scenic Hippo Pool picnic site, followed by a journey to Arusha, from where you will be transferred back to Zanzibar.
