Coast to Tsavo East National Park

Your adventure begins with an early hotel pick-up and a scenic drive to Tsavo East National Park, known for its vast red-soil plains and rich wildlife. Enjoy a morning game drive across the savannah, spotting elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and more, with a visit to Aruba Dam, a lively wildlife gathering spot.

The game drive continues until around 1:00 PM, after which you exit the park and head to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival, enjoy lunch, check in, and take time to relax. At 3:30 PM, high tea is served before you depart for an evening game drive at 4:00 PM, when animals are most active.

Afterwards, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the scenic beauty of Taita Hills.

Taita Hills and Return to Coast

After an early start, you will head out for a morning game drive in the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, a time when wildlife is especially active due to the cooler temperatures. This is one of the best moments to witness nature at its most dynamic, and with some luck, you may even spot lions or leopards feeding on their prey after a night of hunting.

As you explore the sanctuary, you may also encounter giraffes, antelopes, elephants, and a wide variety of bird species, all set against the rolling green hills and lush landscapes that beautifully contrast with the open plains of Tsavo East National Park.
Thereafter, you will begin your journey back to Diani. Kindly note that the drive from Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary to Diani takes approximately 6 to 7 hours, allowing you to relax and reflect on the incredible wildlife encounters, diverse landscapes, and memorable experiences of your 2-day safari. You will arrive back at your hotel in the afternoon hours.
