Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will be picked up from your hotel or the airport by your driver-guide in a 4x4 vehicle. After a brief safari orientation, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, a drive of approximately two hours. Upon arrival, begin your morning game drive, taking in the park’s stunning landscapes, iconic baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Look out for families of elephants, as well as lions, zebras, giraffes, and other fascinating species. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, striking baobabs, rolling hills. Enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s designated sites before continuing your exploration. In the evening, you will be transferred to Farm of dreams for dinner and an overnight stay.

Upon pickup from your lodge, you will be warmly greeted by your driver-guide and set off on a scenic journey to the southern Serengeti, specifically the renowned Ndutu Plains. Along the way, you will be surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and have the chance to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this wildlife-rich region. Ndutu is famous for its seasonal migrations, offering incredible opportunities to witness vast herds of wildebeest and zebras, as well as a variety of predators in their natural environment. After an exciting day of game viewing, you will return to Misako ndutu migration Camp a tranquil lodge nestled in the heart of the Serengeti. Here, you can unwind and enjoy a delicious dinner before resting for another thrilling day of exploration.

Rise early this morning to ensure a timely descent into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. From the moment you enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be captivated by the stunning landscapes that surround you. The experience becomes even more breathtaking as you reach the crater rim and gaze upon one of the world’s natural wonders. This inactive volcano, approximately three million years old and spanning 20 km², is the largest unbroken volcanic caldera on the planet. Its natural boundaries support an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five, with a rare chance to spot the elusive black rhino. In addition, you may encounter hyenas, zebras, buffalo, and elephants—creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable safari experience. In the late afternoon, after a full day of exploration, you will drive to Lake Eyasi for dinner and an overnight stay at Farm o dreams.

You will awaken in a world unlike any other, home to the Datoga and Hadzabe tribes. Your day begins with an encounter with the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in the world. Accompany them on a traditional hunt and immerse yourself in their customs, rituals, and captivating dances. Lake Eyasi, a shallow seasonal salt lake at the base of the Great Rift Valley, is home to the Hadzabe, as well as the Datoga and Mbulu communities. Visiting the Hadzabe offers a rare and timeless glimpse into their way of life, as they generously share their knowledge of hunting, gathering, and survival in this unique environment. Enjoy lunch at a designated picnic area before boarding your safari vehicle to continue your journey to either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your onward departure.
