We’ll pick you up from your hotel and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll meet your guide, chef, and the rest of your group. Tarangire is known for its sweeping scenery, iconic baobab trees, and Tanzania’s largest elephant herds. Our main aim is to encounter the elusive black rhino, a rare and endangered species that is notoriously difficult to spot across the crater’s expansive plains. Along the way, you may also see lions, buffaloes, hippos, and a variety of other wildlife. After enjoying a leisurely picnic lunch amidst the crater’s beauty, we’ll embark on a final game drive before making our way back up. Once back at camp, we’ll pack our belongings and continue our journey toward Lake Manyara National Park, where dinner and a comfortable overnight stay await.

After breakfast, we’ll set off for Lake Manyara National Park, a stunning sanctuary at the base of the Great Rift Valley. Famous for its sparkling lake dotted with vibrant pink flamingoes, the park is also home to the rare tree-climbing lions—an unforgettable sight for those lucky enough to witness them. Enjoy a tranquil game drive across dense forests and open plains, observing a wide array of birds and wildlife. Stop by the hippo pool for a close encounter with these massive yet gentle creatures, and explore the steaming hot springs nearby. Set off on a scenic 40-minute trek to the magnificent Materuni Waterfalls, guided by a local expert who will introduce you to the Chagga people, their lively village culture, and the diverse flora and fauna around you. Along the trail, marvel at sweeping views and, if lucky, catch sight of Mount Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped summit. At the base of the 80-meter waterfall, cool off with a refreshing swim in the natural pool.

After the adventure, return to Materuni village for a hearty traditional Chagga lunch and a taste of homemade banana treats.
