Day 1

Your guide from Nature Ethiopia Tours will pick you up from your hotel in Addis Ababa. Drive north through the beautiful Entoto Mountains and Ethiopian highlands toward Debre Libanos.
Upon arrival, visit the famous Debre Libanos Monastery, one of Ethiopia's most important religious sites founded by Saint Tekle Haymanot in the 13th century. Explore the church, museum, and surrounding grounds while learning about Ethiopia’s Orthodox Christian heritage.
Continue to the nearby Portuguese Bridge, one of Ethiopia's most photographed landmarks. Walk along the gorge and enjoy spectacular views over the Blue Nile Gorge. Keep an eye out for Gelada Baboons, endemic birds, and stunning cliffside scenery.
After lunch, enjoy additional sightseeing and photography opportunities before returning to Addis Ababa in the late afternoon.
